Individual Therapy

Individual therapy offers a space that is entirely your own—a place to slow down, reflect, and better understand yourself with the support of a compassionate therapist.

Life can feel overwhelming in so many different ways. You may be navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress, trauma, life transitions, or simply a sense that something no longer feels sustainable. Sometimes people come to therapy with a clear understanding of what’s wrong, and other times they arrive simply knowing they want things to feel different.

Wherever you’re starting from, therapy can help.

At Meadow & Vine, we believe healing begins within a supportive therapeutic relationship—one where you feel seen, understood, and accepted as you are. Together, we explore the patterns, experiences, emotions, and beliefs that may be shaping your current struggles while creating space for new insight, healing, and growth.

Our work is thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to your unique needs. Depending on your goals, therapy may involve:

  • Exploring relationship patterns and emotional experiences

  • Understanding the impact of past experiences or trauma

  • Working through anxiety, overwhelm, or self-criticism

  • Building healthier boundaries and coping strategies

  • Developing greater self-awareness and emotional balance

  • Strengthening self-esteem and self-trust

  • Creating more fulfilling and connected ways of living

We understand that many of the ways people cope were developed for a reason. Patterns such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, emotional avoidance, or staying constantly busy often begin as ways of protecting ourselves. In therapy, we approach these patterns with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment.

At Meadow & Vine, we integrate insight-oriented therapy, psychodynamic therapy, EMDR, and relational approaches to support deeper and more lasting change. Our therapists are trained to help you work through many different challenges, including:

Check out our team of therapists to find one that specializes in what you want help working through!

  • The first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We'll discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from the process. You'll also have an opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether the therapist feels like a good fit!

  • That's completely okay! Many people begin therapy with a general sense that something feels difficult, overwhelming, or unsatisfying but aren't sure exactly why. Part of therapy involves exploring those feelings together and helping you gain clarity over time. Plus, all of our therapists are trained to help guide the therapy sessions in order to allow you get the most benefit from them. As therapists, we’re naturally curious and we always have questions, so if you’re not sure where to start, we’ve got you!

  • We recommend beginning with weekly sessions. Consistent therapy often provides the strongest foundation for growth and change, and gives you a chance to build trust and comfort with your therapist. Then, depending on your goals and needs, session frequency may be adjusted over time!

  • There is no set timeline for therapy. Some people seek support for a specific challenge and achieve their goals within a few months, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns, relationships, and personal growth. The length of therapy depends on your goals, needs, and preferences.

  • Not directly - Instead, your therapist helps you gain insight, explore options, understand patterns, and develop confidence in making your own choices that align with your values and goals.

Therapy is a collaborative process designed to help you better understand yourself and your needs, but it’s also designed to help you gain confidence in your ability to make decisions for yourself.

Our job as therapists is to work ourselves out of a job, and get you to a place where you don’t need us anymore. If we always give you advice or tell you what to do, that keeps you dependent on us and doesn’t give you the opportunity to build your confidence in your own decision making. Plus, you always know yourself best, and with most things in life there’s not one correct answer or way to do things!

  • A previous therapy experience that wasn't helpful doesn't mean therapy won't work for you. The relationship with your therapist, the timing in your life, and the therapeutic approach all play important roles. Many people find that a different therapist or approach can lead to a very different experience. That’s why we offer a team of therapists, each with their own personalities, approaches to therapy, and specialties so that you can find a therapist that feels like the right fit for you!

  • Feeling nervous is completely normal! Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if it's your first time seeking support. Our goal is to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel comfortable showing up as yourself. You don't need to have the right words or know exactly where to begin—we'll figure it out together.
